The Sale Process

How does it work?

 

From the moment you first get in contact with one of our sales consultants, we’ll put in the hard yards to really get to know your property. We’ll have a look at what else has sold in the area, what kind of competition your home will have and what sort of buyers might be out there, looking for it.

 

We’ll then be able to tell you what kind of price you could expect to get for it. Once you’ve decided to list your property, we’ll put together an extensive marketing campaign, which will kick off with photos being taken, print and online advertising booked and a sign placed on the kerbside.

 

Before we start the Heart Buyer search, the whole Maggie Dixon Real Estate sales team will view the property so they can tell their own contacts and buyers about it.

 

Throughout the sales process, you can expect a report each week from your sales consultant, letting you know of any activity or interest that has been shown in your property.

 

We pride ourselves on our professionalism but if you have any concerns at any point in the process, you can contact the Maggie Dixon customer service department, which operates independently of our salespeople.


What happens when you get an offer?

The moment you’ve been waiting for:  Someone wants to buy your property!


Our sales consultants are all strong negotiators so you know they’ll have put time and effort into getting a great offer. The salesperson will go through it with you and if it’s not what you’d hoped for, you have the opportunity to countersign. We will then go back to negotiate again with the prospective purchaser.


When an agreement is reached, the original document goes to the lawyers acting for the vendor and for the purchaser, and each party also gets a copy.


But we won’t stop there: Marketing continues until the agreement is unconditional, at which point you can expect to see a “SOLD” sticker slapped on the sign outside your house.
