The salesperson will go through it with you and if it’s not what you’d hoped for, you have the opportunity to countersign. We will then go back to negotiate again with the prospective purchaser.
When an agreement is reached, the original document goes to the lawyers acting for the vendor and for the purchaser, and each party also gets a copy.
But we won’t stop there: Marketing continues until the agreement is unconditional, at which point you can expect to see a “SOLD” sticker slapped on the sign outside your house.
